I had an avocado as an evening snack the other night. I'm not actually a fan of them in salads (too slippery), but they are great on BLTs and other sandwiches. I'm thinking they might be an awesome secret ingredient to fish tacos too.

Mmmm, avocados in sandwiches, so good. I gotta remember Teppy's wrap slices of turkey around wedges of avocado trick, too, that's a good one.
Arrow and Supernatural are delayed by baseball here, and I am so tempted to stay awake and make sure the game ends in time for my recording to be okay. That is not necessary, self. The DVR is set to record extra time and you have Hulu if you need it. Go to bed.
Damn it, I can't find my transit card. I'm guessing it must have fallen out of my pocket on the bus or while I was walking, because clearly I had it when I got ON the bus. I guess I'll just report it lost/stolen and pay the $5 for a new card, and hope the replacement arrives by the time I get back from vacation.
Ugh, that's a bummer, shrift.

Not even secret! Right up there with using shredded cabbage instead of lettuce. Mmm, fish tacos. I made chicken enchiladas tonight at Franny's request. They are good, but in my mind not quite worth the work that goes into them. It should be noted that the family members who don't actually do the cooking disagree.
Okay, I think it's bedtime. g'night.
Wide freaking awake.

Yeah, it's annoying, especially since I'm sure the company will take a full two weeks to send me a card. The universe always punishes me before vacation. I should be in bed, but since I can't find my transit card, I'm totally taking a taxi to the airport tomorrow and that means I can sleep in longer.
Wide freaking awake.
I am not surprised, considering. Do you have any sleepy-time drugs?
It is 1am here. Since I was in central time all day, it's really like 3am. Why am I still awake??
I think I've really believed that at some point I would be an adult. And that time is not when I have a career, or buy a house, or some nebulous future potential wedding or children. No, I believed I would be an adult because I would suddenly grow up and be FINE with getting up in the morning. Oh cruel world, you lie to me so.
mr. flea, who is 46, is married, has kids, owns a house, has a PhD and a good job, once said, upon waking, "Why does this keep happening?" I said, "What?" "Waking up. Every morning. It keeps happening!"
Right?! Why can't the world work with my circadian rhythm for a while?
