this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Just take your time. Push yourself at the end rather than the beginning.

That's good advice! I hadn't thought about that.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I am currently waiting for any one of 4 different people to get back to me with information I need to continue their projects.

I suspect that means I will be sitting here not doing anything for an hour before it is time to leave, but I am okay with that.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I don't know if I can do that, msbelle. Flirting is fun. But you would know better than me if it's a bad idea.

I'm pretty excited to not work this weekend.

Woohoo for not working! Boo for it being unusual to not work on the weekend.

I had my takeout (I realized after I picked it up that, hey, it is not really even close to sunset yet. Oh well). It was okay, not great, but convenient, which is about right. got a Zipz in the fridge and a lot of sci-fi TV to watch. I am hoping that if I can really intensely do nothing for a few hours tonight maybe I can be productive tomorrow.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

What -t said.

I watched the first episode of Grey's Anatomy that re-aired this week after the most recent episode, and wow it feels like a completely different show. I think I like the show as it is now better than the show it was then.

I recorded that so I could re-experience it, sj.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

The goddaughter's mom is having surgery later tonight to remove gall stones. So far the kiddo and I have watched Lilo and Stitch, gone to the park in the rain (because we're hardcore like that), and are now watching Aladdin.

information libertarian

I cleaned bathrooms at our new house tonight. The bathrooms are FILTHY, people. The soap scum alone. So tiring and depressing. (I am not finished.)

I feel like I have been working my butt off for 2 weeks and there is so much more still to do.

In completely unrelated news, I brought a raw potato home from work because my coworker gave it away because it was starting to sprout.

That sounds most excellent, Jilli. Not the gallstones part.

Yay Lilo & Stitch! Love that movie.

Met with my contractors again to go over what we're looking at for the kitchen. They came up with a great idea to add to storage space by building a closet with shelving in the corner of the kitchen, where I can keep the microwave & sundry big items that won't fit in the cabinets. YAY STORAGE.

Also they said they can refinish the floors in the rest of the house for a minimal add-on cost if they're going to be refinishing the kitchen floor. Yay!

Oh god so much money...
