I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That sounds most excellent, Jilli. Not the gallstones part.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Yay Lilo & Stitch! Love that movie.

Met with my contractors again to go over what we're looking at for the kitchen. They came up with a great idea to add to storage space by building a closet with shelving in the corner of the kitchen, where I can keep the microwave & sundry big items that won't fit in the cabinets. YAY STORAGE.

Also they said they can refinish the floors in the rest of the house for a minimal add-on cost if they're going to be refinishing the kitchen floor. Yay!

Oh god so much money...

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Do you have any Miyazaki films, Jilli? Those are usually a good bet with the younger set.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Miyazaki sounds wonderful.

In other news, my stepdad went in for a CAT scan today to see what is going on with his brain. ~ma would be appreciated.

In semi-related news, it's okay that I added a shot of vodka to my post-workout fruit/protein smoothie, right?

Yay refinished floors, Consuela?

I totally support shots of vodka, Anne!

Am trying to convince myself to get off the couch and go run, since if I"m going to do that AND then shower before dancing, I need to get doing.

In completely unrelated news, I brought a raw potato home from work because my coworker gave it away because it was starting to sprout.

...what are you planning to do with a sprouted potato, while moving? Heck, what was your coworker planning to do with it at work??

Inauspicious that we are an hour past our install start time and no messages. In an odd turn of events, I have nothing to do except monitor in case I need to be backup. Which is FINE by me, I don't want to work the weekend.

Otoh, we've pulled the old pages from the site.

Absolutely! I'm pretty sure I read on the internet (convenient how I don't have to say '"I read somewhere " anymore since everywhere is on the internet now) how drinking a glass of wine was just like working out, and also that any alcohol gives you the same benefits as wine, so you just doubled your workout's effectiveness. If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

All we had was weather coverage on every channel so I missed all my Thursday shows.

I was surprised to see it was so close to Rockford. That's my dad's hometown. I was name-familiar with many places mentioned in the news.
