I signed up for a 5k in October with some of my co-workers. That should be enough time for me to get ready.
My 5K is a week from tomorrow. I'm not convinced I'm ready, mostly because my sprained ankle is a jerk and I haven't been able to really train the way I needed to. I walked 2 miles in 40 minutes the other day, and I'm about to go take a walk in a few minutes, so I'm pretty sure I can make it for 3.1 miles. But I'm actually kind of nervous about it.
Just take your time. Push yourself at the end rather than the beginning.
You will be fine! Take it easy and don't hurt yourself, though, do like brenda says.

While today does seem warmer than yesterday, it's nowhere near the 70s that was predicted.

I figured out the reason I feel extra terrible today. My temperature is elevated even after taking acetaminophen earlier. I am curled up in bed watching a Netflix DVD and definitely not going out to dinner tonight.
Bed and Netflix sounds like a suitable treatment plan.
I am off to pick up the Chinese takeout I ordered online Wednesday. Oh brave new world that has such dining options in it.
I'm pretty excited to not work this weekend. Even though it means I remain behind in my database updates. But fuckit, I've worked good parts of the last two weekends, so I am taking this one off!

I was last-minute all energized to try to get stuff done this afternoon so I didn't have to do stuff before I leave for my trip Sunday (....wait, I guess I"m already working on the weekend), but then I found out the report I was trying to run is having some kind of update starting at 5PM eastern. Which was an hour before I tried to run it. Sigh. Guess I'll have to do some stuff before I leave Sunday. Which, I'll leave for the airport at like, 11AM, so...yeah.
