I am the fly who dreams of the spider

So, parents oldest son got his license back, pled not guilty, and is looking at maybe four months. This will only end in tears.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Happy Birthday, tommy!

Dana, you lucky sod! Good luck and have fun.

IOmeN, I just found out how to rent library books to read on my Kindle with the OverDrive app. Free books! On my Kindle! Take that Amazon! Anyway, can anyone recommend some really, really good books? Particularly scifi or mystery? I've only put holds on a couple of trashy Laurell K. Hamilton books. I don't know why I keep reading them, but...I enjoy them. Hey, people like Twilight; I rest my case.

Juliebird, here's hoping that somehow your parents's oldest son gets the help he needs soon.

Happy vacationing, vacationers!

Sail, anyone who really knows what's trashy about Laurel K. Hamilton stuff, has obviously read it and therefore has zero room to judge. t /some people juggle geese

I do love library books on Kindle! The only thing I dislike is that it's not easier to return them--if I get them on my iPad in the overdrive app, it's easy to just click on them and return. Whereas the kindle ones I just leave on until they disappear, which isn't really fair to anyone who wants them next, if I finished reading them a week ago!

You can return them at amazon.com - Manage Your Devices, I think?

Have mowed the lawn. One more load trough the dishwasher and all the dishes will be clean. Not sure how much more I maw willing to do to make the house presentable. Maybe I'll get another burst of energy later.

WHEE, LEE! 18 hrs and 43 minutes to takeoff. 8 days 16 hours 25 min to eclipse.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I've been into Julia Spencer-Fleming this winter, but also have to recommend Ice Shear by MP Cooley.
