Okay, I showed everyone in my family the blue dress, and they all saw it as white and gold. I GAVE BIRTH to two of these wrong people. And now they're all angry at me because they say I am too proud of myself for being right.

Okay, Casper attests that she saw pale blue and gold, and is thus less wrong than the others.

Does anyone have any suggestions beyond heating pad on belly?

Do you have any fennel seed in the house? I find that chewing on fennel seed helps. My IBS has been behaving badly too, and that's about the only thing that eases it a little.

Kat, I'm hoping it's just coming out of the honeymoon phase, not something more fundamental.

I've got a pimple on my eyelid. I guess that's called a sty, since it isn't a true pimple. It's not amusing me.

I'm not sure. I'll go scavenge in the kitchen.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

My two favorite comments on the llama and dress weirdness of yesterday's internet, both pulled from Twitter:

Biden: WOOO FREE INTERNET
Obama: Joe, would you cut it-
Biden: SET LOOSE THE LLAMAS
Obama: CAN YOU JUST-
Biden: RELEASE NANA'S TRICK DRESS

And also:

"...and that kids, is how February 26th became National Internet Day, and why we decorate llamas in white and gold"

To which someone immediately responded:

"Yeah, but dad... Some of the kids in my class decorate their llamas in blue and black."

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

RELEASE THE LLAMAS!

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

msbelle, I don't really have any advice, but I will say that I did hardly any homework at home, but I have a pretty good work ethic. I was pretty motivated by grades, though, so if I was dipping below a B, I would have done it.

I just watched this show on Netflix called Brain Games, which sort pretty much explained the white/blue/gold/black dress thing, even though it was made in 2011. The weirdest thing is that they also dealt with hearing, and told you to close your eyes while foley artists worked. One sound I correctly identified was twisting a bunch of celery in half! I was supposed to hear it as a breaking spine, but I was like.... that sounds like someone twisting celery and it was!

Totally want this to happen!!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, I watched some of that when it aired. Hosted by NPH IIRC. I wonder if that's still tucked away on my DVR or if I gave up on getting around to the rest of it...

ETA: Have put Llama Drama Day as a repeating Event on my calendar even though I still have not seen any of the llama chase. I do like commemorating stuff.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Was the white llama wearing gold and the black llama wearing blue?

Yes. [link]

This was actually the first image of the llamas I saw because I didn't have time for internet yesterday.

"The Senator with the Snowball" was the news item that caught my attention this morning. [link]
