I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

There is an actual senator named Whitehouse? That's terrific.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I was weirded out enough by that dress that I had to see if it came in other colors because I just don't see royal blue in the one photo, and it weirds me out that royal blue can be overexposed enough to make it look white. And I did find this. But no gold.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I need to get some decaf coffee. I made extra regular today, with the intent of drinking it in a leisurely manner, but forgot about that and drank it all down, and now I'm jangly! But I do like the idea of extra coffee volume on the weekend.

I call decaf broken coffee. Accidental experiment with it made me think I was getting sick!

Market done, now time to hop in the car and fill in the gaps. Like the juice I never got last weekend due to the storm.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Heh. I just can't deal with extra caffeine. But I really like coffee!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Heh. I just can't deal with extra caffeine. But I really like coffee!

Maybe make half-caf on the weekend so you can drink more?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I drink half-caf on the regular, which is the sad part. Hence the idea of additional decaf on the weekend.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Biden: WOOO FREE INTERNET
Obama: Joe, would you cut it-
Biden: SET LOOSE THE LLAMAS
Obama: CAN YOU JUST-
Biden: RELEASE NANA'S TRICK DRESS

Susan, there is nothing about this I don't love. THANK YOU.

Also, although I just about completely missed both events, I will TOTALLY make white-and-gold/blue-and-black decorated llama cookies next Feb. 26. It's traditional! As of right this minute.

I drink possibly too much coffee, but I love it so. We do keep a bit of decaf hidden away somewhere, because sometimes I want to bury myself in a mug of coffee at ten at night, when unbroken coffee is not really an option.

Also... very trivial help? I have to go to a work party tonight, to which I am not much looking forward except for the chance to dress up all fancy and wear a new corset and dance. But then my supervisor sent out an announcement yesterday afternoon that oh, by the way, the dress code is "business casual." Which the Internet is telling me means "conservative and in almost no way festive," and which just about kills off any desire I had to go (also, I don't think anything I own qualifies, except possibly the stuff I've already worn to work that everyone has seen a billion times). Except that I have to.

So, help? Natterers who actually go out into the world and interact with business-y people in business-y ways, what would you wear to a business casual party?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

For a staff party at night on the weekend, I would take that as meaning you don't HAVE to dress up crazy formal, but I would assume at least some coworkers would dress up a fair amount. Basically, I think it means men will be in khakis and women will be in anything.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Wear your khaki corset.
