CJ came home, saw it as black and blue. Then pulled it up on his phone and saw it as white and gold. He has been FLIPPING OUT for the last 10 minutes.
Separately, he has been TA'ing for the same teacher for the last few years for the "Adventure" class. It is basically rock climbing on an indoor course. He is TA'ing two periods this semester and helping during his two off periods. As a reward, he got invited to the International Conference of Ropes Course Professionals (not the actual name, but something like that). Today was day one of the conference and he said it was great. Most of the attendees are, apparently, ADD/ADHD and he has FOUND HIS PEOPLE. They got back tomorrow for more. His teacher told me that he may have the opportunity to lead a class. Pretty darned cool.
I imported the photo into Adobe Lightroom and played with the color temperature and tint (aka white balance) and I could easily make it look blue but could not really make it look white. Plus in the color histogram there is a lot of blue in there. So I vote blue and weird dark brown.
You guys, tumblr is legit freaking out over that dress. For people who see white and gold: [link] [link] And that was just five minutes of scrolling my dash.
It looks the same to me on the iPhone.
I looked on my phone and it's still blue and black for me.
I love that the entire internet is debating it, though. Especially since it's a pretty homely dress.
I am hungry. I have food to cook. I hate cooking. I can't live on frozen pizza (no, brain, really, you can't). To me, cooking is: canned chicken in the pan, heat it up; throw jar of sauce in pan, bring to simmer; cook pasta and throw it in the pan and bring it all back up to a simmer; eat. I still hate cooking. It dirties up so many dishes, it could turn out to be a tasteless lump, you have to keep doing it. Bah.

Both my roommate and I see it as blue and black. Tried tilting my screen and twisting the laptop side to side and while I could get kind of a photonegative effect, I could not see white and gold.
Connie, I don't much like cooking during the week, which is why I do something in a crockpot on the weekend so I have many meals to reheat over the next week.
Scola, that was the first time I'd seen the dress other than blue and black.
Crockpot, Connie? One pot, and leftovers you only have to heat up?
