Whereas my asshole employer is forcing me to use up mine with 5 months notice in complete disregard to the client work schedule or my plans. Fuck 'em. My boss is completely freaking out over 3/4 of her team having to take off ~4 wks each ( plus holidays plus a damned week for all of us where it is mandatory vaca regardless work is OPEN) before 2015. As she should be. And she has no say in it.

FUCK THEM. If the schedule allows it, none of their damned business.

PS: apparently rage is a weightloss regimen for me. I've dropped 2-3 lbs this week, and is apparently visible ( at work, I just assumed it was my militant FUCKYOU stride and wearing skirts and tanks in response to the heat; in the locker room from the women I haven't seen in over a week? No armor, so, yeah.) I can't recommend it, but I guess that fits in with me&stress having similar results...

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

For the day I asked off today, I have no nanny and no grandparents available. Mac has band from 9 - 11:30, so again, instead of sleeping in, getting him there and picking him up and only being slightly rushed to get to work at 11:30, I feel like like I should go in at 8, leave at 8:30, go back after dropping mac off, work until 11, the go pick him up and get right back to work. frazzled.

That's fucking ridiculous. Your boss should make leave decisions based on work schedules, not your schedule! I would not rush that much in that case.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

so I motivated to update my job profile with this school district and apply for the two admin jobs they had listed. UGH - only 1 is listed now AND their site went down for an update while I was making changes, so I did not get it completed. FU website. also, this site says "A letter of interest, resume, and HS Diploma and/or college transcripts must be attached to your online application in order to be considered for this position." seriously? college transcript I do not even know where to look. I guess I can scan in my high school and college diplomas and make a note that my college transcript is in storage. This is not a teaching position (NO ONE wants me teaching anything other than crafts and/or sarcasm).

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Boy. I would encourage you to sleep in anyhow and just go in late. I understand feeling like that isn't an option, but maybe it actually is?

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Transcripts?!

Well, I got to tell the NRA fuck off. Hubby was a member for reasons that were sufficient for me. There was a call from them tonight, don't know why. I was able to say "He died," which flustered the good ol' boy dreadfully and he said they wouldn't bother me again. We'll see. I should feel bad for making someone else feel bad, but if you shill for the NRA, you get what you deserve.

Depending on the type of position at districts, transcripts are normal because they place you on a place on the pay scale. Usually for certificated employees and not classified, but I'm not always certain.

I've just set up my feedly feed to funnel Clint/Coulson fic to me. It's a brave new world. Soon I'll be dumping AT&T phone and Internet and going solely to my cellphone and Google fiber--yay, Google getting a sweetheart deal from my city council!

msbelle, I suspect the district has only one application process, and they don't bother distinguishing between teaching and not-teaching jobs in terms of the forms they request. For one thing, that would be work for them; for another, it allows them to round-file anyone who fails to meet all the steps of the application.

In the world of the internet-enabled job search, it's too easy to apply to things, and employers are developing all sorts of tools to filter out applicants. Even when the criteria isn't legitimately related to the job itself, it's just a way to bring the number of applicants down to a reasonable number before they start actually looking at them.
