It's -7 here in Highland Park, with a windchill of -27. So I wussed out and drove again today.
Compared with what I grew up with in Wisconsin and when I lived in Mpls., -27 isn't that bad. Maybe I'm just old and cranky, but I didn't feel like dealing with it today.
I cannot imagine these negative twenty-something temperatures. Dang.
We don't have anything like Boston or Chicago, but I am so tired of being cold. And wind! Nasty, biting wind.
It's 60 in our office. My egg McMuffin and hot tea taste especially good right now.
Next on the menu: More tea!
My office has been in the 50s, and the space heater I have been running full blast to get it into the 60s is starting to smell funny.
So I just made a reservation at the beach, and now I feel better. Not warmer, but better.
Awful story this morning. A van from a dog day care was carjacked at gunpoint yesterday in my neighborhood. Seven dogs inside, being taken home at the end of the day. No sign of van or dogs yet.
