Awful story this morning. A van from a dog day care was carjacked at gunpoint yesterday in my neighborhood. Seven dogs inside, being taken home at the end of the day. No sign of van or dogs yet.

I haven't left the house since Saturday. Stupid winter. Stupid cold. The only good thing about this cold is that I am miserable enough not to think about how miserable winter is. But I cannot recommend it...last night I got almost no sleep because I couldn't lie down without coughing. Even being propped up by money pillows wasn't helping. Finally, taking more cough medicine than was probably safe and some tea with honey let me get a few hours of sleep.
