Zoe: What's that, sir? Mal: Freedom, is what. Zoe: No, I meant what's that? Mal: Oh. Yeah. Just step around it. I think something must've been living in here.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I have a new fridge!

Hooray! It's like an undiscovered country, waiting for your perishables.

brillig

I hope my perishables are classy enough for the new neighborhood.

Hit up every damned stop& store I needed to and made it to the post office. All is put away and I've got a load of laundry going. I think I might nap while it runs.

Also, doing all that before eating while the wind and weather is messing with my head? Kinda unpleasantly surreal.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yay, Connie! Enjoy.

Punishingly Intricate

I am happy for the legal recognition of your horses!

Yes!! This!

New fridge is awesome! Congratulations on that.

Just helped some friends move. Male of the couple broke his ankle three weeks ago, conveniently, and all her furniture was covered in mirrors (think, old Hollywood glamour). It was advanced moving challenge! But they didn't have a ton of stuff, there were enough helpers, and they were only going to the other side of the neighborhood so not too bad. Did strengthen our resolve to either never move or to hire movers when we do! And start packing the very second we know we're going to move for sure!

Am trying Jilli's tea (one of them? I think there was another one that was out of stock when I ordered). Nom.

Similar conversations were had packing up Karen's house. Between one couple:"Pres, we have too much stuff. We can never move." "I'm going to start giving away everything as soon as we get home." " Maybe we just burn it to the ground..." Note, this couple has a beautifully restored house out in Hamilton/lauraville, nicely furnished. They are definitely not clutter bunnies.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

A blessing on your horses, Kat.

A couple of times I've wanted to comment, "MOTHER!" on your behalf.

I KNOW, RIGHT?

It's like Plei's mother and my mother are sisters. My mother called me from downtown Boston on Thursday and DELIBERATELY HIT A PEDESTRIAN while talking to me on the phone. When I said WHAT?? she told me she just bumped his backpack because he was standing in the street and wouldn't move (NB: it snowed 2 feet in Boston recently; probably he was dealing with this and that's why he was in the street).

Reader, I hung up on her, but before I did she said, "Okay, nobody loves me, bye." 65 or 5, you tell me.

OK, I have washed some dishes and updated my tea inventory records, now to get my free burrito at Chipotle (I hope my chief association for Chipotle continues to be Chipotle Labs in Zombies Run. I love the way the machine voice pronounces it)
