Because books.

The storm never really showed up here. It's snowing, but like yesterday it's not really amounting to much. The outraged protests of schoolchildren were heard for miles.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It's because we both saw it on Food Network last weekend!

Ah, jury duty. Good luck!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I have jury duty this week too, on Friday. Blech.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I didn't think the storm would show up- It looked like for once, ROchester and Buffalo were being passed over. I think we got 3 inches or so, but it is COLD.

I found the secret to never being picked is to really really want to get picked. I don't know what happens when they are questioning me, but I turn into an eager to please brownnoser, who wants to WIN my place on the jury. And they don't tend to like people who are to excited about it, because it is weird.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

"I've always dreamed of serving on a jury! By the way, do they still have The Chair in this state?" rubs hands together in anticipation

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

The snow is very fine here -- hardly accumulating on anything wind-swept, but piling up like whoa in the lee of objects, like my front steps, which are drifted even with the top.

Eventually I'll get out and take some pictures. Alas, shoveling might just mean that I'd have to do it all over again.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh my god, Becky!

Friday jury duty does not seem right.

I picked up breakfast at Panera this morning to eat my desk. It is delicious, but I don't know how people eat breakfast at work as a regular thin. It is exponentially harder that eating lunch at my desk.
