I'm glad to hear Callaluna's mom and Kiba's bonus mom are both recovering well. Here's to speedy pain easing.

I am ridiculously easy to google, but since I'm Famous On Teh Interwebs, that's okay.

Sometimes without even trying: I googled something looking for clip art to put into a document once, and a picture of you came up, and I was a) tickled, and b) confused... until I realized it was the article you appeared in re: office attire. Then it made sense.

not your mom's socks.

My board name is Sparky's parents' dog's name. At the time, it seemed like a good idea.

Amy, I'm glad to see your pixels and to hear your news. Been thinking about you. Hugs to you and S.

Bosses need to lay off everyone. All the ~ ma to the moms.

I'm on day #xxx of pretty fierce back pain/ leg pain from a combo of old back issues and sitting too long on my bed, working. So seeing an online friend post that writing will give you scoliosis this morning set off my nope. I questioned it because tired/out of sorts, as did a couple of others and feel like I'm getting the "can't you take a joke" look. Grumble.

Because books.

Any ideas what it means if you're watching a YouTube video (on a Windows laptop, an HP, I think), and a white screen pops up, with a flickering gray bar to the middle left? (It also looks like a test pattern bar -- you can see the stripes that make up the bar as a whole.)

Sara was using Claire's computer last night, with permission, and this happened. I turned it off and unplugged it, thinking I would restart it in the morning, and the scary white screen refuses to go away.

Bosses need to lay off everyone.

I don't know that that came out quite right. Unless people want lay offs, I guess. ;)

Hope your ouchies are better soon. Ouchies suck, especially when you are expected to act normally during them.

brillig

The Holt novels were 'Gothic Romance' and I devoured them in probably middle school

They continue to be devoured in my home, though my copies are wearing out. Also Jane Aiken Hodge and Mary Stewart. They hold up surprisingly well.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Oh yes, I loved those.

NPR told me that DJ Jazzy Jeff is 50 today.

Wow. That's inconceivable!

I'm hoping my back/arm is better today. I slept for a very long time.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I cannot stop sleeping. Yesterday I called in to work and slept until 1. TOday I was 2 hours late because I overslept. I often am up in the middle of the night (say 2 am - 5 am) but fall asleep just as I need to get up. Last night I slept through, though. I actually snoozed the alarm from 5:24 am to 9:00 am, which I don't even understand how I can do that. My cat was also walking on me and meowing.

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

Banner few days, I guess.

Just found out my Grandma passed away. Like, half an hour ago.

It's okay. We've been kinda holding our breath on this for about...fifteen years.

Still.
