Hm, it seems that the Yosemite upgrade is mostly for connectivity with apple devices. I currently have no devices.
So. Does it even make sense for me to try it?
Along those lines, much to my own surprise, I'm thinking of getting a tablet but actually considering a non-apple product. That would be for the first time since 1988.
Is there a tablet that is close enough to the apple interface that I won't feel like a stranger in a strange land?
Where is Karen going, sara?
I am in denial about having to fly tomorrow. Ugh.
She's moving to NC. Job with more growth.Closer to family she wants to spend more time with. Good for her, sucks for us. And I k ow I don't lose lose her, but still.
Just came off a crying jag. I could do transience better in the apt. I expected people to move. Here I've built a family, even renters. And she and I really clicked. We've joked that if I were relationship material and I were her type (am neither) we could've created our own 'hood wedding. S&J get that honor.
Aw, Sara -- that's hard.

I'm willing to bet the answer is no, but it's not
that
hard to adjust -- it just takes time. (I did the opposite thing a few years ago at work. I bitched a lot at the beginning, but got over it eventually.)
My mom has had all Apple computers always and an iPad but she recently got an Android phone and seems to be managing it fine. FWTW.
That sounds hard, sarameg. I hope whoever she rents to fit into your 'hood well! And that she is able to visit often.
Broke my "almost got shagged" mug. sad face
ETA: but, hey, good opportunity to spend $50 on things I don't need from Cafepress! Yay?
I just spent $100 at the supermarket for maybe the first time that wasn't associated with a move or a party. Granted, my refrigerator was basically empty, but I guess I'd really better follow that menu now!
Ha! And yes.
I've made my shopping list, done a couple loads of laundry, and gotten dressed. I think if I mow the lawn and whatever else needs to be foe in the front yard I can go off to my folks' to finally exchange gifts feeling not too behind on my housework for the day. Maybe hit the grocery store on the way home to be efficient. I need to fit in a cup of tea pretty soon, though. After mowing. Mowing the lawn...now.
I'm the worst at making menus and shopping for them. Seriously, it's a problem.
So, for this job interview, I have to write and submit and essay. I'm pretty confident in my written communication skills, but dang, I haven't done anything this formal since college.
Is it a writing job, at least?
