it's watching you. You need to leave the room and let it upgrade in private, or otherwise tape over the FaceTime camera.
I really had to stop and think for a second to be sure this was a joke.
My webcam isn't judging me right now, is it?

Heyyyyy, I have an early 2011 Macbook Pro too. What kind of special were they on that year?!
Wah wah wah it failed. Restart and try again.
Failed again "file system verify or repair failed"
I hates it.
I have a late 2008 MacBook (not Pro) with 4GB of memory. It took me several tries to install Yosemite, but it eventually took and I haven't had any problems since.
Poop! failed again. A quick search shows this is a common issue. Disk utility showing my hd needs repair, but will not allow me to click repair disk. Looks like I may be going to the Apple Store tomorrow. F f f
Poop failed again.

FINE!
Yeah, I had that. Did you restart into, um, was it safe mode? The command-r restart. I think I may have restored to a Time Machine backup and start the whole Yosemite installation process again to actually make it work.
Sorry, I mean to remember because I knew someone else would run into the same thing, but I did not do a good job of that.
Just did command r restart will not let me repair disk. I've hooked up to my external he where all the backups are, but have no idea what to do once I click on restore.
