Having grown up in California, I am quite content with the loss of a season or two (notably winter) as long as it means comfortable temperatures most of the year.

Coming from Summit New Jersey, what's the best/easiest way to get over to Nassau County? My dad's mom died and I told him I'd hop over tomorrow to meet him for dinner. And then, since it's still a work day, what's the best time to head back and not get caught in rush hour?

I have no weather complaints. It was a bit brisk this morning (60s). But apparently our cold snap is already done. My niece in Oswego NY tells me that they are closing the thruway near there for lake effect snow.
