Zoe: What's that, sir? Mal: Freedom, is what. Zoe: No, I meant what's that? Mal: Oh. Yeah. Just step around it. I think something must've been living in here.

I was actually a little productive today. Got frames for the Aboriginal art from Australia from 2 YEARS ago, finally. Bought a couple of floor mats- one to put inside the basement door and another felted one I cut into 3 stair treads and stapled them to the top 3 basement steps, so I can finally not track crap up from the basement. It's not filthy, but between taking out trash and recycling and all the crap I cut down there, but don't vacuum that very second...

Now to figure out how and if I want to hang the art. Flat surfaces are at a premium at cats claim much of it.

Also scored 50lbs of birdseed for $10.

Now if my guts would just calm the fuck down. Still iffy.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I'm so sorry, Strix.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Consuela, I'm glad TNG is doing better.

Our office closes tomorrow at 2pm, but I'm probably going to work all day anyway.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

So I bought some Gjetost cheese (brown cheese made of goat and cow milk whey), cut up and peeled a very ripe pear, put thin slices of the cheese on top and baked the whole thing at 350 until the cheese melted over the hot pear.

Oh nom! Which reminds me I need to go by the office tomorrow. The PM who sent me pears last year said she sent something to the office for me.

Strix, that is so rough. RIP sweet kitty.

I went out in the sub zero temps wearing just my gi...the walk to and from my car sucked, but it was great to get some karate time in.

Calli, pears + Gjetost cheese sounds delish.

Strix, I'm sorry about your kitty.

Consuela, I'm glad that TNG is doing okay, and I'm interested in that roasted beet pesto.

Suzi, I'm glad you got some karate in.

I managed to reset my Kindle tonight and it will power on now, so I don't need to buy a new one immediately. I do have a Paperwhite on my Wishlist as a precautionary measure, though.

Ann, that's a ferret.

All condolences, Strix.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

strix, that's so typical for cats, instinctually going off to be sick in private. They mean well, even if it's hard on their humans.

I'm feeling much better this morning, like up to 80% of capacity. Yay?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Strix, I'm so sorry about your cat.

Stumbled over and let the dogs out and fed all the beasties. Will have to drop cookies by on my way to the pool in...an hour. Holiday hours, Uhg. Hoping the coffee kicks in.

Ugh. I'm almost too depressed to be at work today. Hopefully caffeine will help and hopefully I can leave early.

But overall, I'm pretty sure I can manage until the new pills kick in.
