Jayne: That's a good idea. Good idea. Tell us where the stuff's at so I can shoot you. Mal: Point of interest? Offering to shoot us might not work so well as an incentive as you might imagine.

Juliebird, would there be free delivery for online stuff? I can't quite imagine buying online--maybe if they didn't have the color I wanted locally, but I could look at the shape/size/feel of it otherwise?

I'm having a New Year's party tomorrow but I'm worried no one will show up. Or more so, worried that a few of the people who said they were maybes will swing by WHILE no one else is there and be mad awkward. Sigh. Plus I'm buying food and drink for theoretical guests, which I cannot myself eat. But will want to, especially if it's all left over! Though I am not going to tempt myself like crazy and like, make cookies or chex mix or something.

Hugs, Strix, that sounds hard.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Good party~ma, meara. I hope you have fun, whoever shows up.

I can't imagine buying a couch without sitting on it to see if it's comfortable. So many are not.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Oh, Strix, I'm sorry. That's so hard.

Same here. I'd at least want to sit on sample in the style I wanted and then order a version in whatever fabric best suited.

So sorry, Strix. Losing a pet is hard.

TNG is doing okay, although falling occasionally. OTOH, she did a 3-mile walk this morning with no problems.

Me, I'm full on yummy pasta with roasted beet pesto. And my car is freshly tuned up and I really need to vacuum but otherwise the house isn't too much of a mess.

We might be let go early tomorrow but as a contractor I probably shouldn't leave. OTOH I have almost no work to do so it's hard to be inspired. Today however I managed to make some trouble for My Nemesis, heh.

Wooho, Consuela!

Strix, I'm sorry.

I was actually a little productive today. Got frames for the Aboriginal art from Australia from 2 YEARS ago, finally. Bought a couple of floor mats- one to put inside the basement door and another felted one I cut into 3 stair treads and stapled them to the top 3 basement steps, so I can finally not track crap up from the basement. It's not filthy, but between taking out trash and recycling and all the crap I cut down there, but don't vacuum that very second...

Now to figure out how and if I want to hang the art. Flat surfaces are at a premium at cats claim much of it.

Also scored 50lbs of birdseed for $10.

Now if my guts would just calm the fuck down. Still iffy.

I'm so sorry, Strix.

Consuela, I'm glad TNG is doing better.

Our office closes tomorrow at 2pm, but I'm probably going to work all day anyway.

So I bought some Gjetost cheese (brown cheese made of goat and cow milk whey), cut up and peeled a very ripe pear, put thin slices of the cheese on top and baked the whole thing at 350 until the cheese melted over the hot pear.

Oh nom! Which reminds me I need to go by the office tomorrow. The PM who sent me pears last year said she sent something to the office for me.

Strix, that is so rough. RIP sweet kitty.

I went out in the sub zero temps wearing just my gi...the walk to and from my car sucked, but it was great to get some karate time in.
