Chances are you'd have forgotten to set them out to thaw overnight anyway. If my experience is any guide.
Heh. Fair enough!
OK, kind of weird--my sister's house is pretty full up, and I would've been sleeping on a blow up mattress in the office. Her neighbors, who she is good friends with, are out of town, and offered to let me stay in their house while they're gone (my sister is also taking care of their cats). OK. They expect me to use the master bath, because the other one is...the cats'. And i figured I'd stay in the guest room, but the sheets clearly haven't been changed (they are COVERED in dog hair...even under the blankets). The master bed sheets seem to be clean. I feel very weird about this. I mean, if you HAVE a guest room, I generally would assume I USE it, not the master!
Have you guys ever played Robo Rally? Glorious chaos that benefits a programmer's brain.
I love that game. A phrase actually spoken at the Roborally table, after blindsiding an opponent: "As God is my witness, I thought Spinbots could fly."
You can play Roborally online here: [link] I think it's free if you play solo (against AI robots, which is entirely appropriate), but you need to subscribe to play against actual people.

I've only played it drunk, which, as you might guess, didn't work out so well. (But I followed that up with an amazing game of Ticket to Ride, so...I can draw no conclusion from that, actually; I just wanted to boast.)

You know it!

I am horrible, HORRIBLE at Robo Rally.
Pete, on the other hand, is really good at it, and tends to be so far ahead of everyone else that the rest of the players band together just to hunt his robot down.
Fun Robo Rally trivia: it's the reason Magic: the Gathering exists. Richard Garfield designed Robo Rally first, but the (very fledgling) WotC said that they weren't sure how big the market was for it, and they needed to make some money so they could have the budget to put Robo Rally into production. So Richard wandered off and invented M:tG.
meara, if an adult is sleeping at my house, and we are there, then they would sleep in my son's clean bed, while he crashed on the couch, if he was here.
But if I wasn't there, both beds would be clean and you could sleep either on.

Yeah, as pet owners, if they didn't know until the last minute that you needed a bed, they might be the sort of people who don't keep the guest bedroom in pristine pet hair-free condition when they aren't expecting a guest, BUT their own bedroom would be fine since they (obviously) always use it.
Speaking as a pet owner whose house is not one of those that's always "company-ready", that would be the case with us, if our spare room had a bed.
What Steph said. I wouldn't sweat it. Change the sheets on the master bed if you're so inclined.
