A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

meara, if an adult is sleeping at my house, and we are there, then they would sleep in my son's clean bed, while he crashed on the couch, if he was here.

But if I wasn't there, both beds would be clean and you could sleep either on.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Yeah, as pet owners, if they didn't know until the last minute that you needed a bed, they might be the sort of people who don't keep the guest bedroom in pristine pet hair-free condition when they aren't expecting a guest, BUT their own bedroom would be fine since they (obviously) always use it.

Speaking as a pet owner whose house is not one of those that's always "company-ready", that would be the case with us, if our spare room had a bed.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

What Steph said. I wouldn't sweat it. Change the sheets on the master bed if you're so inclined.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I'd sleep in the clean bed. Lacking instructions to the contrary, do what seems reasonable.

hip deep in pie

Since my spare room was, more or less, Clio's room, it required a fair bit of de-hairing before guests. I wouldn't think anything of sleeping in the master bedroom. I would have thought to leave a note of which bed I was expecting guests to sleep in though.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I can easily imagine myself offering my guest room and forgetting that it is full of dog hair. If I had a guest room.

Or forgetting I had a guest room if it is really the dog's bedroom.

I get to leave work two hours early today and tomorrow! My supervisor forgot to let me go early on Thanksgiving, so I get both this week. Yay, seniority!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Have had a massage and gotten my mother one last gift. Now lunch, then cleaning, cooking, and wrapping for the rest of the day.
