Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

This needs to happen. But, in a place/time where I can attend and gorge myself on deviled eggs, for lo, they are THE BEST.

Steph and I are one yet again.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

The friend of mine that had one for several years either didn't have one this summer, or didn't invite me, so.

Man, I do love this modern world. I always forget to order Christmas flowers for my grandmother, but just remembered to do it, and they will be there on Tuesday, no problem. Just a $5 pre-Christmas upcharge.

And I've now done the one work task I really should have done before I left on Friday, so god willing, I can stop thinking about work now. Now I can start worrying about the huge party my mother is throwing in two weeks.

Timelies all!

Quiet day here.

Oh! I had the weirdest dreams last night, but one part that I remember was that Jesse was getting married on the 4th of July, but so was some other friend of mine, and I was so torn as to whether I should go to one wedding or the other, because all the buffistas were going to be at her wedding but all these other friends of mine (...college friends? Though somehow it was an old coworker getting married or something??) were going to be at the other one.

So, dear Jesse: if you end up getting married this 4th of July I expect an invitation. :)

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Spent the morning Ubering. I'll be away for Xmas, so I have to reap the wind while I can.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

These past few days have been -- mixed. Had to fight insurce company to get my test strips for my glucose meter. (WTF insurance company?) Won, but it took two hours of my time and 40 minutes of my pharmacists time. (And many thanks to my pharmaicist for being willing to go to bat for your patient. You get cookies. No metaphor, I'm bringing a small gift of cookies to my target pharmacy.)

Got my new glasses. Asd promised slight improvemeent with weaker prescription.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I was dreaming that Scola was giving me a ride to the airport (whence I do not know) but we somehow got sidetracked into helping some elderly ladies with a funeral and it certainly seemed like I was going to miss my flight.

Noted!

Went to CVS and the supermarket, got most of everything I need for Christmas, came back and replaced the one dead string of lights outside. The half-dead string will have to stay, because I cannot. Got my father a birthday card that plays a song, which I hope he'll think is funny.
