Bev, I also find the butterscotch chips a bit too sweet.

I'm about to go to a potluck, but don't have anything to bring. Ugh. Don't want to hit up a grocery store either. I wasn't thinking, and stopped in trader joe's earlier and was planning to make deviled eggs, but they were out of the bags of boiled/peeled eggs, and I am too lazy to boil and peel my own...but I didn't think to buy SOMETHING ELSE.

I found some hummus and pita chips in a cupboard with an expiration date this month, so there's dinner!

Winner!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I have to decide what to have for Christmas Eve hors d'oeuvres. I kind of feel like chips/guac/salsa and a hot something from TJ's, but that doesn't really go with the actual dinner (tourtiere -- pork pie). But does it matter? I guess I should ask my mother if she cares.

Deviled eggs.

The status is NOT quo.

I have wrapped almost everything (just a couple of odds and ends left) and mailed my cards and packages, so I count that a win. Holiday errands now. Laundry, cleaning the house, and packing for our Christmas travels tomorrow.

Delicious! But too heavy for actually before a full meal. I should have a deviled egg party, though. And my mother does not care what I have, so that's good.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Just got through opening all the t shirts I have ordered CJ over the past year. I have 6 movie related (Hill Valley Time Travel, University of Moria, The Second Breakfast Diner, Stark Industries, Wayne Enterprises, and The Overlook Hotel), 5 TV related (Black Knight model assembly kit, Sherlock, Mudd er Milk, Sunnydale Slayers Club, and Winchester Bros Hunting Company, and 4 misc (Iron Maiden, United States in a periodic table, Zombie Uprising, and an Iron Maiden style shirt but with a Storm Trooper). Now to figure how to wrap them all.

I also discovered that one order is wrong. Ended up with a medium woman's cut of a shirt that says Morro is Metal and an armored hand throwing up the horns with Sauron's eye between the index and pinkie. I waited too long so I can't return it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Delicious!

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

The Second Breakfast Diner

Emmett and I agree that this is 100% made of awesome and we wish we'd known about it before just this minute.

I'm mostly shopped up, but am going to be slacking my Secret Santee (have a bunch of ideas but haven't narrowed them down, plus the Santee lives in a place not entirely dissimilar to SF so it's a minor challenge to find cool Buffista-worthy things that zie can't already get locally).

Hec is all gifted up and the presents have been approved by both Matilda and Emmett. (I mentioned this to Hec, and he said, "Oh, like they would say anything even if the presents were all wrong! No, actually, Emmett is quite opinionated. And tactless. So, okay.") (Emmett in fact gave everything a hearty high-fiving thumbs-up.)

And now I'm settled in front of the TV, watching old Disney Christmas cartoons and sewing an extension onto Matilda's stocking, which is the same size as the one I grew up with but apparently is too small for these modern times.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I should have a deviled egg party, though.

This needs to happen. But, in a place/time where I can attend and gorge myself on deviled eggs, for lo, they are THE BEST.
