The Second Breakfast Diner
Emmett and I agree that this is 100% made of awesome and we wish we'd known about it before just this minute.
I'm mostly shopped up, but am going to be slacking my Secret Santee (have a bunch of ideas but haven't narrowed them down, plus the Santee lives in a place not entirely dissimilar to SF so it's a minor challenge to find cool Buffista-worthy things that zie can't already get locally).
Hec is all gifted up and the presents have been approved by both Matilda and Emmett. (I mentioned this to Hec, and he said, "Oh, like they would say anything even if the presents were all wrong! No, actually, Emmett is quite opinionated. And tactless. So, okay.") (Emmett in fact gave everything a hearty high-fiving thumbs-up.)
And now I'm settled in front of the TV, watching old Disney Christmas cartoons and sewing an extension onto Matilda's stocking, which is the same size as the one I grew up with but apparently is too small for these modern times.
I should have a deviled egg party, though.
This needs to happen. But, in a place/time where I can attend and gorge myself on deviled eggs, for lo, they are THE BEST.

Steph and I are one yet again.
The friend of mine that had one for several years either didn't have one this summer, or didn't invite me, so.
Man, I do love this modern world. I always forget to order Christmas flowers for my grandmother, but just remembered to do it, and they will be there on Tuesday, no problem. Just a $5 pre-Christmas upcharge.
And I've now done the one work task I really should have done before I left on Friday, so god willing, I can stop thinking about work now. Now I can start worrying about the huge party my mother is throwing in two weeks.
Timelies all!
Quiet day here.
Oh! I had the weirdest dreams last night, but one part that I remember was that Jesse was getting married on the 4th of July, but so was some other friend of mine, and I was so torn as to whether I should go to one wedding or the other, because all the buffistas were going to be at her wedding but all these other friends of mine (...college friends? Though somehow it was an old coworker getting married or something??) were going to be at the other one.
So, dear Jesse: if you end up getting married this 4th of July I expect an invitation. :)
Spent the morning Ubering. I'll be away for Xmas, so I have to reap the wind while I can.
