Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Little backbrain picking up rhymes and trotting them out to apply, sometimes bizarrely. I've heard that "suffer a sea change into something rich and strange" and never knew it was Shakespeare.

No opinions on the butterscotch chips? Oatsmeal and butterscotch--both Scottish things, right? Add a little single malt to the dough for good measure? What do you think?

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Oh, football, what the hell.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That sounds amazing, Beverly.

"Let me lick you up and down until you stay stop."

Ahhhhh! Good one.

I have cupcakes in the oven and am already sad about how late it's going to be before they are frosted.

....and I just went to check on them, and I way overfilled them! I guess they will still be cute, but I have lost my touch!

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

I've had oatmeal butterscotch cookies and heartily endorse them.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Ahhhhh! Good one.

The only Pandora channel I've remotely enjoyed this much is the "Carry On Wayward Son" which indeed feels like a brief Dean tutorial. I'm getting my second MJ song, and repeatedly it's told me I like "extensive vamping"--what's that?

Also, I'm so East Coast+selected Tupac. Can't beat California Love, IMO, unless it's Montell Jordan. Well, and anything off "Off The Wall". And BBD. Boyz II Men.

New Edition isn't bad, either.

So that didn't work out as well as one would hope. I guess they taste good and look OK, but I just did buttercream frosting and the kitchen was too hot, and bleh. Whatever -- I can't even go to the potluck anyway!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

No opinions on the butterscotch chips? Oatsmeal and butterscotch--both Scottish things, right?

I love that combination.

Poetry memorized...

Glory be to God for dappled things
For skies of couple colour as a brinded cow
For rose moles all in stipple upon trout that swim....
Fresh fire-coal chestnut falls, finches wings
Landscape plotted and pieced - fold, fallow and plow
And all trades, their gear and tackle and trim

All things counter, original, spare, strange
Whatever is fickle, freckled - who knows how?
With swift, slow; sweet, sour; adazzle, dim
He fathers-forth whose beauty is past change
Praise him

Did Bobby Brown introduce "prerogative" to much of a nation? I can't help thinking so.

One of my former roomies and I had our eye on the same guy, and I snagged him first, and once we were listening to music, and we both chanted "Strange relationships really get me down" at the same time and looked at each other gravely serious.

It makes me laugh 25 years later.
