I am guessing they will get a ton of unemployed law school grads...
(The librarians won't want to work with them.)
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Anyone else ever pay for an online purchase with Paypal, just so you don't have to get up and get your credit card?
Yep. I prefer using Paypal overall.
How's the new job, Gud?
Hah--I was just thinking of you Sparky (and Lee) because over the weekend one of the people I saw was a friend of mine from drag, who was a lawyer, then went to library school, and now works at the Louisiana Supreme Court library.
I am being tempted. 8-5 and decent pay are very tempting. And I am very smart and can learn stuff fast. Actually my superpower is very very quickly absorbing and synthesizing information. Saying that politely in a cover letter is perhaps tricky.
This morning the truck that delivers books to consortial libraries all across the state crashed into a pastry store a block from the library. The driver may have had a seizure but appears uninjured in the crash; the pastry store has a big hole in it but nobody was hurt; the bins of books seem to be all over the sidewalk, judging from news pictures.
My cats are making it impossible to accomplish anything. They keep sleeping cute on me. The vacuum will not run itself.
Go for it, flea! What's the downside to applying?
Yikes on the crash!

Yay no one was hurt but--oh, the pastries! The books! Two things I love the most, in pain! Sadness.
Busken, or Servatii? (Clearly you can see how often I go downtown.)
t edit And, you know, either one would still be tragic. So I'm mostly asking to get a vicarious tour of downtown. Or at least that corner.

That seems like a pretty straightforward thing to say in a cover letter! You can talk about different contexts in which you've worked, and how you quickly absorbed and synthesized the information there.
