Would adding chia seeds help? Can they blend well enough? And cook anything savory (like mashed potatoes) in chicken broth.

Goodbye and Good Riddance 2013: That Was the Year That Was
Every year we watch the Charlie Brown special, do the Snoopy dance, wish everybody a Merry Thanksgivukkahmas, and thank our Secret Santas in the good riddance thread. Which is this one, in case you were wondering. Out you go, 2013!
Refried beans?
What about mashing some white beans in with the potatoes?
I tried chia seeds in my smoothie yesterday and still felt hungry an hour later. I do like beans, but so far I've only pureed them into a soup--I'll try adding them to the potatoes. The egg soup makes me shudder, though--I like my eggs super-well-done.
They don't seem that eggy by the time all's said and done! But if you can't, you can't.
Here's an avgolemono recipe without that pesky egg separating: [link] I don't have trouble with avgolemono and I'm probably as likely to gag at anything resembling an uncooked egg as anyone alive. I do cook things like this longer than the recipe says, under the "nuke 'em from orbit" theory.
I'm still outraged that the dentist didn't warn you.
I suspect I'll be over a lot of my food issues before this is all over, but it's still early, so I'm not there yet, and the picture of that soup definitely looks like something I wouldn't be able to eat.
This is actually probably the biggest problem for me--pureed stuff wigs me out. I'm working on it, but a lot of stuff is still triggering my gag reflex.
I'm still outraged that the dentist didn't warn you.
Aww, thanks! Maybe that's why I'm so chill about it, 'cause everyone else is feeling the anger for me, so I don't have to. I'm all just, it is what it is.
I would be tempted to make bean dip and eat it with chips but just lick the dip off the chips. Gross but salty and delicious!
You could also buy a big tub of protein powder and mix that in with stuff. It's not intended to be meal replacements but should work to supplement.
So far the only protein powder I've tried is chalky. That's only one brand, though; I still have to try others.
