Polgara, that's awful. What about pastina for pasta? No chewing required.
Goodbye and Good Riddance 2013: That Was the Year That Was
Every year we watch the Charlie Brown special, do the Snoopy dance, wish everybody a Merry Thanksgivukkahmas, and thank our Secret Santas in the good riddance thread. Which is this one, in case you were wondering. Out you go, 2013!
Oh, good lord, Polgara, what a surprise!
I would literally drink gravy for dinner every night and get fat fat fat. Sorry, Polgara.
Having just spent $400 on Lindora this fall to lose 20 pounds, I'm not looking to put it back on. Had I known I'd be forced to sip food for half a year, I'd've spent Christmas break gorging on everything ever. Bah.
But as msbelle says, so far I'm trying to look at it as extreme!dieting!, i.e. I'd better lose a crap-ton of weight from this experience. Stocked up on soups, yogurt and frozen fruit yesterday--we'll see how long I can last on purees and smoothies.
What about pastina for pasta?
I don't know what this is, but I'm off to Google!
but at that point, why not quinoa, which is better for you, right?
I'm sure I'll get around to trying both. Six months is a looooooong time.
That is a really crappy thing for your dentist to do with no warning!
but at that point, why not quinoa, which is better for you, right?
Pastina is a lot softer. I would think quinoa would get caught in the braces. Plus, the idea of not being able to have pasta for 6 months freaks me out.
Oddly, everyone else seems more outraged than I am. I mean, my head is still "wtf?!", but I'm not feeling any of the emotions that come with anger or outrage. Mostly I'm just, "so here I am, how do I live with this?"
My therapist will probably tell me I'm dissociating.
