Note: In my world, real king cake is what Sue is making, i.e., galette des rois with tasty frangipane filling.
New Orleans king cake is a different beast altogether.

Normally my grocery store sells the heck out of king cakes. Usually with the baby taped to the lid which looks all kinds of weird. But I was at the store earlier today and didn't see any. I wasn't looking for them...but normally you can't miss them.
