Maria! That's excellent! Congratulations! (Now you can move to PA, right? Right?!)

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Dolly got my everlasting admiration when she joked(?) about coming in third in a drag queen competition.
Congrats Maria!
Congratulations, Maria!
Yay Maria! Congrats!
I agree with you, Amy.
Also, now I have Good Vibrations in my head (the Marky Mark one, not the Beach Boys one) thanks to this: [link]
,I feel we need to move to the late eighties/early nineties and address "My Perogative".
FUCK NO. That song is golden and necessary. Before R&B/hip hop became bullshit and was fun. It's a little bit marred by the way me and K mutter the line "All these strange relationships really get me down", considering she tried to talk me into being poly (i.e. she wanted to sleep with my boyfriend) and when I shut her down she actually followed him out of town to sleep with him as soon as his car stopped in the next city of his cross-country tour. No, honey. You don't even get to sing the same line of the song as me. I'm setting clearer boundaries now.
I came into work but all I want to do is cry. I came off a shoulder pain med and now I'm sleeping in two hour increments since Sunday, and I'm not coping. But I have an unmissable meeting today (1/2 yr review, which will suck, so I have to make sure I don't cry) and another tomorrow.
Yay, Maria!
Oh yeah, I meant to speak to My Prerogative as well.
Congrats Maria!
I can't let the earworm discussion go without mentioning that my boss required all her employees to learn and sing a custom version of Jewel's "Intuition" at the retirement party Saturday as a tribute to the guest of honor, and my method of learning it (playing it on a loop with iTunes the afternoon before, which resulted in SIXTY FIVE replays before I left for the party) has resulted in me hearing it in my head for the last three days. If she weren't a well-loved cousin of mine I'd probably have already had an "I'm as mad as hell, and I'm not going to take this anymore!" moment over it.
my boss required all her employees to learn and sing
Nope, no song ever.
If it had simply been an order rather than also guilting us into fulfilling a request by the retiree, whom I've worked with since 1987, my answer would have been "Oh HELL no!"
