My motivation has gone completely missing today.
I can't believe I just got through "You named your kid Holden?" and came out the other side alright. At least I didn't say it to the parent that really loves the book, but to the parent that was dubious about it and is happy that her Holden is the anti-Caulfield.
One more co-worker who will never let me near their kids...
Holden is super-trendy right now. Boys names ending in N have been on the rise for a while, and all the "normal" ones (Dylan, Aiden, etc) are pretty played out.
So my boss is scheduling phone calls with me and the other remote editor for this afternoon. I have a really bad feeling about this.
My friends in Brooklyn just named their newborn Calvin.

Man, I just tried to sell someone on my tablet without showing them stuff on my tablet, if you know whaddi mean...I think it worked, but thank damn he didn't want to go into one of the art apps right now.
Yeah, I just got laid off, with the provision that I can write for them as much as I want. We'll see how this works out.
