I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Oh, ick, Amy. Fingers crossed that this just means the end of a bad job and the beginning of something good.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Oh, Amy. I'm sorry. I hope this means that something better is right around the corner for you.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Sorry, Amy--but hope it's a first step to a much better job.

I'm sorry Amy. I hope something much, much better comes up.

Because books.

For now, she's claiming I can make the same income working as a contract writer for them. Which seems to contradict the whole "slashing budgets" issue, but whatever.

I'm just confused about whether I file for unemployment or what. I'm assuming not, since I'll be making too much money from writing. (I mean, I hope.) Right?

Amy, better to file and not need it than to count on income you don't get!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I'm sorry, Amy. Good luck!
