All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Ooh, I'll have to keep that in mind.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Hmmm, thing around the house that I appreciate the most, at least in the hot months: ceiling fan. I mean, I have AC units, but the ceiling fan moves the air around most efficiently and quietly.

Being a TX house, msbelle might already have some of those, anyway.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

There is wi-fi in some of the buildings here. Stupid me forgot the charger for the iPad, so I need to ration my time on-line.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Are you in a hotel? The desk probably has a charger. Or someone else around.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Just dropped Emmett off at Berkeley HS for the SATs.

He gets to do that for five hours then I swoop him and we race to Fremont where The Rakers have a tournament and the second game of the day at 2pm.

Gonna be a long day.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Oh, as usual, dear. Old college roommate shared the Obamacare scare story about the $4000 fine, so I countered with a fact-check article, saying "then you will be relieved to know this is inaccurate, here is more information." She came back with " I know it is NOT. work with these issues every day. Same thing will happen to us. Have some empathy."

I could not resist responding with, "I have lots of empathy for people who are worried by rumors designed to spread fear and hate. That is why accurate information is so important."

That may have been a little heavy-handed. Oops.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Ceiling fans are wonderful. Mine are on pretty much all the time, I forget that they are optional sometimes.

Things currently on my own wishlist: frittata pans and mini springform pans. Both conveniently on this page [link]

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

WS, do you read Slacktivist? That's something he talks a lot about -- the incredible difference in mindset between someone who, on discovering that a terrible rumor is demonstrably untrue, is genuinely relieved that the world isn't as bad as they thought it was, and someone who discovers the same thing and doubles down because something in them actually wants that catastrophe, that enemy, that object of righteous fury and hate.

Kick ASS. It is barely noon and I have two loads of laundry in, and a crapload of vegetables roasting in the oven. Done and done!
