Why would taking perfectly legal actions
Because I'm hoping that much like claiming to 'stand your ground' against an unarmed teen in a hoodie and shooting them dead, it's about more than what is precisely legal.
I'm using an example that I think you'll side with as also thinking is horrifying.
Just because you can, you shouldn't. If we're not so much better than that, I might have a problem with being proud to be an American. I'll be an American. But I am going to be so disappointed in our choices.
Typo, there is legal, but Congress (the 20-30 Tea Party of the GOP) is threatening our democracy and democratic process of governing. To the outside world, they will accept our $$, but I can imagine that the $$ as an investment would look a lot less attractive.
Welp, that's the end of last year's Halloween candy. That's almost like an accomplishment.
Perfect timing!

Art. I want more of it. This is next on my wishlist [link] .
And an area rug (but I'm disinclined to give the cats an expensive puking spot).
Yeah I can understand that would not want us to start shooting Congressmembers until the Democrats were in the majority. But aside from being legal, what is morally wrong with Consols? Or even with the Mint coin. Right now in order to provide economic stimulus we do quantitative easing, which basically amounts to creating money out of nothing and giving it away to rich people. No special law was passed to do it. It was a creative step the executive took to stimulate the economy since nothing could pass Congress. So all of the sudden, QE is still OK but creating money out of nothing to avoid the full faith and credit of the US being defaulted on is immoral? And if it is, what the heck is immoral about issuing a type of bond the stupid dept limit does not cover? Comparing it to George Zimmerman does not answer. I freely concede that stuff that is legal can be immoral. I'm pretty sure I can refute any arguments that the first is immoral. And I can't even see a moral argument to refute for the second. (There are practical reasons to prefer the first, but the practical arguments against the second don't outweigh the practical arguments against default.)
Le Nubian, I can see that the existence of the tea party is bad for out nation. I don't see that outmaneuvering some of their unpatriotic actions by legal and moral means makes things any worse.
This is next on my wishlist
Oh, that's very nice. I need to get all my art up on the walls before I buy more, I think, but I'll have to remember that. If I have wall space left at that point.

I like my LED flameless candles.

My sanity is often saved by my Bissell SpotBot. Cat barfs, all I do is pick up the worst of it with a paper towel, set the Bot down on the spot, let it run 6 minutes, it's clean and done without much effort.
Finally clicking the links after giving msbelle the spins. Heh.

I may have to look into that.
Bissell SpotBot
That sounds like a thing that could improve my quality of life significantly. I had no idea there were such wonders to be had.
