Well, this is depressing. Buzzfeed has a list of the lowest-paying jobs that require a bachelors degree. I'm earning comparable to the ones listed, and I have a doctorate.

FRIDAY. I'm so relieved. This has been a long week.
Uh oh, I was coaxing the siamese cat/kitten into my building's stairwell out of the rain, and now that he's frightened he's fled all my attempts to get him outside and instead disappeared somewhere into my apartment. Of course this happens on a day when I have a vital status meeting with my superiors at 10, so no taking time off to deal with him. My home will be totally destroyed if I leave him in it unattended until afternoon, won't it?
Here's hoping snapdragons aren't poisonous to cats, because there's no room to put that away where he can't get to it.
He'll probably be hiding most of the time. I bet he won't go wild. Just leave some water out.

Huh. I make in that range and I thought I was doing pretty well. It's very possible that my job doesn't actually require a degree, though.
Hard to say with kittens, Matt. Might hide and sleep all day, might find something that needs destroying and go to town. Good luck!
The snapdragon won't kill him, although he might kill the snapdragon. As Amy says, since he's scared, probably the worst he'll do is leave you a present somewhere.
Well, then, you're earning significantly below the median salary, which was $58,662 in 2006: [link]
Those are professors. I'm a lecturer.
Good god, I make less than all of those.
