'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I locked the cats out of the bedroom last night on the suspicion that they'd been waking me up and giving me lousy sleep the last few nights. It only seems to have helped a little.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm at the dentist, and the doctor is running late. Seriously? You know they would cancel and charge me if it were me! Ok, she has gotten here in the meantime. Still, whatever.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Jesse and I are dentist twins today.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I'm blaming my sub par sleep on the harvest moon.

That phrase confuses me, sub par, I shouldn't use it. I didn't sleep great is what I mean.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Is network TV past "no homo!" yet or not? I look at this billboard [link] and think no, whatever sexuality Seah Hayes character is (I thought I'd read gay, but the page [link] that image is from doesn't mention it--MAYBE WE ARE BEYOND THAT)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I've read where the character is gay, but had tried being with a woman, which is where the daughter came from. So I don't know what we are or are not past...

My face is so numb. Ugh!

Because books.

There was the openly gay couple on The New Normal.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I saw the pilot so long ago the details are fuzzy (also the show wasn't that good) but I think Hayes' character was closeted and married, but is now out and divorced.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

So the three male-female pairs and the one "NO GUY HUGGING!" pair doesn't reinforce any subtext for anyone else? I was trying to argue progress with my sister, and she was all "Where? Since Will and Grace, where? Significant screen time improvement for M/M erotic affection and sex and casual platonic intimacy?"

She is following the gay male couple on Days, and thinks it's near par, but not on it, but challenged me to demonstrate prime time TV was similar. I can point at gay couples, but not on shows I watch, so I can't say how prevalent they are, how much affection and sexuality they get to express within the template set by the straight couples.
