Quick question: is this cross-stitch or needlepoint? [link] Is there a difference between the two? I am not crafty at all (obviously).
I want to write a thank-you note for this entirely unexpected and lovely wedding gift, but I don't want to refer to it as cross-stitch if it's needlepoint, or needlepoint if it's cross-stitch.

FWIW, unless CA or L.A. does it differently, when I was a DV court liaison in MO and KS, shelters would help a woman in an abusive situation file a temp restraining order day or night with the on-call judge, and restraining orders once the temp order's time was run out.
