Harmony: Somebody remembered to pick me up the sweetest unicorn. Guess someone was feeling guilty for standing me up in tenth grade. Brad: What? Had to get her something. She sired me. Peaches: Sire-whipped.

Punishingly Intricate

I'm pretty sure they had a police escort last month because the mayor rode with them, btw.

Bike party kind of gets on my nerves with the "we are too cool for helmets" thing.

I'm just an observer, I have no idea about the politics of helmet within the leadership (FTR, I'm extremely WEAR A FUCKING HELMET. It saved my dad's life at least thrice. I would have lost him for sure at 15 were it not for one.)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh, thank goodness! The baking soda/vinegar didn't seem to work, so I tried the other internet suggestion of boiling water, and that seems to have done it! (Which actually makes a lot of sense, since it was only raw veg in there and cooked veg is softer, right?)

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

In terms of inflamtion. My Mom has gone on the nonightshades diet - no tomatoes, potatoes, sweet peppers (green peppers and such) no hot peppers, no chiles, no paprika, no red pepper, no eggplant, no tobacco. White and black pepper is still OK. It has helped her a lot. Warning: the science behind looks like total bullshit, but I'm not going to tell her to stop doing something that results in less pain. The nice thing about it is that if works, it works within 48 hours at most, usually a lot less so if you don't see improvement within a couple of days you can forget it. I know other people who it works for. I suspect what is going on is an allergy to those things rather than the reasons given.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Just got back from seeing our friend Brian in his one man show. he always brings his shows out here from NYC once a year for a couple of nights. It was in a tiny, 99-seat theater with hand-built risers. The show was great, and in the audience were some friends B recently worked with--Christopher McDonald, Courtney B. Vance and Tom Hanks. I was too shy to actually go meet Tom Hanks. B and his wife are staying with us, so we'll get to hear about the after-show shenanigans later.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Was Angela Bassett there? Whoo! She's my lady.

No wives, just the three guys. Vance was whistling and cheering throughout the show in a very adorable way.

Sweet.

Oh sure, TODAY it's nice and sunny, when I don't really have time to go to the beach and just washed my hair. I guess I can go down to the river for a bit instead.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Heading to Pittsburgh for a housefilk today. (Normally this weekend would be Confluence, a convention in Pittsburgh. It was cancelled this year because the hotel they signed a contract with told them in April it was shutting down a week before the con dates, and they couldn't get another hotel.) Stopping at Falling Waters on the way back tomorrow because architecture.
