'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I hear you, Amy. A number of gaming friends game under a separate account with a fake name and no interaction besides social game posts even if there's often official policy against it.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Thank you notes after the interview--email or handwritten? Help! I'm so out of practice.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

In its defense, Gardens of Time has an actual story line and characters that are surprisingly well-written (considering the whole thing is in second-person dialogue). Also I find hidden object games to be kind of zen-inducing.

Yeah, I don't care so much about the story line. I just like finding things! Which sometimes fucks with my head, when I'm walking down the street and literally thinking, "Lamppost, graffiti, bike..."

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Am having a super goddamned fancy salad for lunch with pickled beets AND a pickled egg.

Email is ok, especially if you can't put the handwritten ones in the mail today.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Email is especially handy if you met with people in groups -- you can send one note to the group and not have to come up with a hundred different ways to say "Thanks for meeting with me and I want the job."

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I have many tasks of minor onerosity to accomplish today. Need to clear my desk, so to speak, so I can focus on the big things. And my writing has fallen off, which is making me unhappy, so I need to clear off time for that as well.

But kids are being great this am and giving me time to get stuff done. Yay for little victories, right?

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I am ... weirdly opposed to interacting with strangers on the internet. That sounds completely idiotic, I know, but you guys aren't strangers. Everyone else ... is.

We're just strange.

Grins beatifically.

Because books.

We're just strange.

Oh, yes. In a good way, though.
