I have many tasks of minor onerosity to accomplish today. Need to clear my desk, so to speak, so I can focus on the big things. And my writing has fallen off, which is making me unhappy, so I need to clear off time for that as well.

But kids are being great this am and giving me time to get stuff done. Yay for little victories, right?

I am ... weirdly opposed to interacting with strangers on the internet. That sounds completely idiotic, I know, but you guys aren't strangers. Everyone else ... is.

Sent 11 emails out individually. Already received responses from three: Chief HR Officer, Vice President, and President of the company. VP said "[I] believe there are opportunities that you can bring your passion and expertise for our mutual benefit. I’m sure you will be hearing from T shortly with a possible next step." CHRO said they'll be in touch early next week.

Yeah, that's a great sign. People usually don't write back at all either way to thank-you notes, IME.

Woot! And I just heard back from my former coworker who recruited me (who is their VP of Sales and Marketing and would be my boss). I did good. He's gotten positive feedback so far, and he'll get back to me early next week.
