Buffy: He ran away, right? Giles: Sort of, more. turned and swept out majestically, I suppose. Said I didn't concern him. Buffy: So a mythic triumph over a completely indifferent foe? Giles: Well, I'm not dead or unconscious, so I say bravo for me.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Well, that was a long day (10+hours with not much in the way of breaks) capping a long week, but now I am on vacation! Woo!

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

And the pain is back earlier today that yesterday. So weird. I thought this stuff was supposed to be cumulative not time release. Grrrrrr.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Congrats to Emmett!

"Consent is Sexy" - IDK. No matter what you come up with or how awesome and perfect you and a bunch of other people think it is, someone is going to come up with something that's awful about it, regardless of whether it makes any sense.

Lightning storm has passed by. Only lost power for a moment, but cable is fried. I'm lucky I still have Internet. Got some neat photos of sheet lightning, though. It looks different through the camera lenses than to the eye. Literally like sheets; half the photo is dark and half is bright, like an aurora almost.

And posting made it better! Cable is back. Thanks, B.org magic.

Congrats, Emmett!

I swam tonight. Definitely hit a wall, but I'm on the mend.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

So I took the Which English? test. Their top three guesses for my English dialect were: 1. American (Standard) 2. Singaporean 3. South African

1 is correct, don't know where the other two came from!

Their top three guesses for my native language: 1. Norwegian 2. English 3. Swedish

Now that's surprising. It's English. Why Norwegian?

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I work tomorrow and really need to get to bed, but wanted to update on Oz. I think the cat-sitter may have over-dosed him on insulin (my guess is he wasn't eating, but Sylvester was finishing all the food), because after getting him to eat a few treats, then a few more, he is now eating small bowls of regular food. His eyes are clearer and focused and he is up walking around much more like normal. Still he has noticeably lost weight and is wobbly, but much much better than Wednesday.

Glad to hear that, msbelle.

brillig

Hubby's first guess on English was Singapore. His native language was guessed to be Vietnamese. That algorithm needs a lot of input. (His first language is probably German, and he's lived on military bases around the world.)
