I basically had meetings from 9 to 2:30 and then just stopped working.
I haven't figured out how to do that (not the meeting part, I don't want that part, thank you. I like this No Meetings Friday thing we've got going on now). I am working pretty slowly at this point, though, with many tiny breaks...
Just got my performance review which was quite good and I got the max salary increase (3%) which you would think would motivate me to do my gorram work, but that's not happening. I am pleased, just not motivated.
The 10 year old girl who wanted fairies on her walls weeping has been kind of epic. I am half annoyed at Casper and half wanting to weep with her. Dillo took the news better.
Also, there was a lot of noise coming from the field behind our house, and Casper went out there to see what was going on (hoping it was kids playing) and came back saying, "It's just a bunch of middle-aged people standing around a table in somebody's back yard, with red cups." Hee.
Ooops. I sent my mom flowers for Mothers' Day today (because I am cheap and the delivery fee for Saturday or Sunday was basically "Give us your first-born," and I DON'T HAVE A KID), and all day I checked UPS to see if they were delivered (and they weren't). About 6:00 I tried to call my mom to see if maybe they were delivered. No answer.
She texted back a little bit ago and said "We're out to dinner for your stepdad's birthday. I saw you called. What's up?"
I checked UPS, and they delivered at 5:30. It's going to storm here pretty soon. D'oh.
I texted back to ask, "Did UPS deliver anything before you left?" No reply, though, so I am left hanging.
But flowers left on the front porch by UPS and then destroyed in a storm are still proof of my love, right?

man, I would love to get some $$ for those shoes! They really helped me when I was wearing them too. I should put them back on.
I paid for a Michael Bublé concert ticket for Mother's Day but did not volunteer to attend said concert with my mom (my aunt, sister, and sister-in-law are going, okay), which maybe makes me a horrible daughter, but I guess I can live with that.

I don't remember what age the boys were as it was a height of laundry equipment decision. And they were tall! But stinky boy clothes was a major deciding factor.
Our climate does not allow for wearing clothes multiple times. MIL changes at least the pillow slips, and usually the sheets daily. When she was in the hospital I brought her a package of fancy pillow slips and she was delighted. Likely the only time I got a gift right for her!

It occurs to me that another reason I have bunches of laundry for a single person is that I am super prone to spilling things on myself (including but not limited to soup, salad dressing, and coffee) and therefore cannot wear most things more than once without laundering.
