Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Luckily I wear flats and many brands of dress pants assume I'll be wearing heels, so I can often fit regular length dress pants.

That's basically my theory with jeans. They are not too too short, but like a half-inch shorter than I'd like. But Tall pants are now too long for me, and I can't be bothered with hemming, basically. I'm right in the middle, leg-length-wise.

Goodness woman, where haven't you lived!

Seriously. I've lived in every part of town except the West side (people joke that Northside -- despite the name -- technically qualifies as West side, since it's west of 75, but...no) and Northern Kentucky. I moved a LOT until I was 30.

Flea, the back yard area looks great for kids and entertaining. And all that wood flooring looks great, too.

I'm wearing a skirt at work for the first time in ages. It's a black pencil skirt, and it keeps creeping up my thighs as I sit and type, so I suspect it won't get into heavy rotation. Pity--it looks pretty good.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Me too. I keep thinking that if I get back in the habit of exercising I'll probably drop another size and the talls will be just right. That doesn't seem to be quite enough motivation though.

I am this way with jeans, except in petites. Petite length is just slightly too short, whereas regular almost always requires a ridiculous amount of hemming except when it doesn't, which makes NO SENSE since I am the average height of women in the U.S.

More proof that Women's clothing sizing is ridonk.

But also people's bodies are ridonk! I couldn't believe it when I figured out that my friend who is the exact same height as me was cuffing her regular length jeans when I was wearing Talls in the same style. Our bellybuttons are almost six inches apart, because I am a little short-waisted, and she is super long-waisted.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I can't really wear pants, and always had trouble. The only size where pants fit me was a size 16? Now that I am bigger, the front always comes up over my boobs, while the back fits. Which is weird because I have a belly. On size lower though and I can't close them. When I was thin, and lower rise pants were in, they always got sucked into my waist because my hips are disproportionately wide, and I had a perma wedgie. When high waisted pants were in fashion, I had a super big gap in the waist, for the same reason.

Dresses are just easier for me.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I sometimes end up buying petite sizes because if it's big enough to fit me in a regular size, it's too long. I laugh when that happens, because....I am not petite.

I know, but I mean that dudes get to buy pants based on their waist and leg length! Why can't women get waist/hip/length sizing?! Other than the fact that the entire clothing industry would have to change how they operate.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I would settle for skirt waistbands that fit like pants. I'm fine in either pants or dresses, but tailored skirts always cut into my belly, even when they fit.
