I'm not a fan of tomatoes in quiche and I adore quiche.
So more reports of seriously insane flooding coming in. Worried about my vet's office. It's on the Falls. Which overtopped its banks to cover a bridge just a couple hundred yards downstream. OTOH, the tavern that it doesn't* share a parking lot with seems to be ok, so...
- tavern guests aren't allowed to park there, but they try. They're on the same level.
I am SO grateful to be living on the top of Capitol Hill and that the years long leak in my ceiling has been fixed...at least for the moment.
This rain is no joke.
A friend on facebook posted a picture of a Metro train at one of the above-ground stations. The water invaded the train car to a depth of more than an inch.
Truly incredible.
It's so nuts here with the flooding!!! (Our house is fine, we're on a hill above the floody floody river.) I'm pretty worried about those businesses down there though--like our gym and our bike shop!
All of our weather traveled east this year.
Suzi, it was a genuine "bomb threat" if a note that says the bomb will go off at 12:00 PM unless they can find it sounds real.
I just got the twins out of having to do dioramas! Grace has surgery on Tuesday and I pulled the sick kid card in order to get a chance for them to do picture books instead.
Ugh. We have been landed but not at a gate for over 30 minutes now. Blah.
Spent a nice evening with K-Bug and CJ. He even let her ask questions about homework. It is a Christmas miracle.
Egad people, stay safe from the floods!
How weird that it can be so hot and dry here and so very very wet elsewhere.
I am truly bad at 2048, I've never had higher than a 100something block.
meara, are you stuck at LAX because of the computers going out?
I guess I got all the plane luck, even if we were 40 minutes late -- I had three hours warning on that, so I left late, and breezed through security. When I landed, my checked bag was the SECOND on the belt, which has never happened.
Clearly I'm making up for all the not-flying I've been doing.
