Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Wow, that's nuts!

I look more rad than Lutheranism

At least I just got 2048 on that stupid game!

I feel like that's resume-worthy. I've only gotten 1024 once in a while.

Because books.

I feel like that's resume-worthy. I've only gotten 1024 once in a while.

Seriously. I've never gotten higher than the 500-whatever square.

I hope your dad's okay, Jesse.

Hubby made quiche. He's very proud of his quiche, it makes him happy to serve me something that will get me to eat vegetables. I dislike quiche. But I like him. I eat the quiche.

(I am not a fan of cooked eggs on their own. Plus, veggies. Particularly stewed tomatoes. He at least doesn't quibble when I pick out most of the tomatoes.)

I'm not a fan of tomatoes in quiche and I adore quiche.

So more reports of seriously insane flooding coming in. Worried about my vet's office. It's on the Falls. Which overtopped its banks to cover a bridge just a couple hundred yards downstream. OTOH, the tavern that it doesn't* share a parking lot with seems to be ok, so...

  • tavern guests aren't allowed to park there, but they try. They're on the same level.

Compassionately intolerant

I am SO grateful to be living on the top of Capitol Hill and that the years long leak in my ceiling has been fixed...at least for the moment.

This rain is no joke.

A friend on facebook posted a picture of a Metro train at one of the above-ground stations. The water invaded the train car to a depth of more than an inch.

Truly incredible.

Punishingly Intricate

It's so nuts here with the flooding!!! (Our house is fine, we're on a hill above the floody floody river.) I'm pretty worried about those businesses down there though--like our gym and our bike shop!

All of our weather traveled east this year.

Suzi, it was a genuine "bomb threat" if a note that says the bomb will go off at 12:00 PM unless they can find it sounds real.

I just got the twins out of having to do dioramas! Grace has surgery on Tuesday and I pulled the sick kid card in order to get a chance for them to do picture books instead.

Ugh. We have been landed but not at a gate for over 30 minutes now. Blah.

Spent a nice evening with K-Bug and CJ. He even let her ask questions about homework. It is a Christmas miracle.
