Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The DH goes to each of the dogs as he's going to bed and murmurs to them "You were a good boy today. Thank you for taking care of things. Sleep well."

That's the most alien thing anyone has mentioned on the topic so far. People, I swear.

Got free lunch today. At the restaurant I go to about once a week I mentioned that the one dish wasn't up to par, so they comped me. Which is extra nice, because that's my indulgence lunch of the week.

Profile addy is good.

I read what Teppy wrote regarding motivation and glasses and ADHD to CJ and he was all YES! Followed by "Mom, you take anti-depressants, right? If I took those away and told you to just not be depressed, could you do it".

Told ya, he is a smart kid...just gotta figure out better ways to interface with school.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

So annoyed at volunteers this afternoon. The vol broker thought they'd be here at noon, I was told 12:30, vol contact told everyone 1pm. Then less people showed than promised, and vol contact had the fall to suggest that I arrange projects on the future that they could actually finish. I'm sorry, but I'd planned for 14 volunteers and three hours, not 10 volunteers and 2 hours of work. Yes, more work got done than I would have been able to do on my own, but I t would have been nice to know I had time to eat lunch, rather than standing around waiting for people to trickle in like it was no big deal ( like the two that showed up at 2 and acted surprised that I stuck them with shittiest job by themselves).

Suzi, is he looking for how you can be ongoing as part of his "glasses", or will it be a more handsoff setup?

I tragically erred and read some of Jezebel and some of its side blogs, and now I hate everyone and am sure they hate me. Because privilege is rampantly unchecked.

He hasn't told me to back off, so until we discover what works best for him, we will be working through this together. I wish I hadn't been lax for so long on this.

I cannot get home quickly enough. And then I have to think about what to wear to the funeral. Do you have to dress any particular way for the viewing? I could just wear black the whole four days, but I currently intend to attend the funeral in purple. Because I don't have enough appropriate red.

Oh dear lord. Dad called and said he wanted to visit this weekend. Dude, I'm working all weekend. (And this will be 13 day stretch where I have no days off). So now at least I have a week to clean, plaster over the wall where I stabbed a knife, and get rid if the cigarette butts from the patio.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I tell Mr Peabody I'm going on an errand, to dinner, to the Y, and so on, under the delusion that with repetition, he'll have an idea when I'll be back. He seems to be less anxious when I do that, but who knows what goes on in his tiny brain?

He's always in charge.

Here is how you know I don't live in Mayberry: today the police raided the candy store on the main street through town, because the candy store is, as we all know, a front for drug dealers. (You can buy candy there, but I have no idea if anyone does.)

That makes me sad! I like candy!

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I'm pretty sure at least half of Mayberry was a front for moonshine back in the day.
