We'll be starting on our journey to Toronto this evening.(We'll stay overnight in Pennsylvania) Trying to figure out why I've been so tense lately. I mean, I'm not the one who's a guest at the con. (That'll be in two months)

I tend to mention that to the pets when a pet-food commercial is on. How they're just sponges who aren't earning their keep, etc.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.
I say bye to the cats when I leave and promise I'll be back soon. If I'm going on a trip, I say bye to the house too and tell it to be safe while I'm gone. When I lived with humans, I'd seek one out and let them know I was leaving, but I've always lived with family or friends. If it were a roommate I wasn't emotionally invested in, I might not. It's the difference between shared lives and living separate lives in the same space, I think.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.
The DH goes to each of the dogs as he's going to bed and murmurs to them "You were a good boy today. Thank you for taking care of things. Sleep well." Just KILLS me.
