Work! And right now my coworker seems like she is trying to destroy the reason I came here. I'm sure that's not the case, but ugh -- frantic emails!

I think I have figured out why my card was declined on the bus this morning. It's because they helpfully moved my balance to the new card and deactivated my old card without, you know, sending me an email or any other notification. Wow. Much helpful. So service.
How did you not tell us you were going? Neat!
Okay, thank you. I felt like I had a(nother) hole in my head.
Hey, tell us when you're not telling us something, will ya, Jesse?
Bank withdrawal tax? That....I don't even understand.
I'd love to see someone suggest that here. Hello box of cash under my bed and cheque cashing services.
Hangs head in shame. I sent out checks last week unsigned. Who knows what happened. Not employees though, vendors. Only one mentioned it. I'll bet the others just deposited. Must be something going around because I received one too from a customer! I just sent it through the ATM for deposit and it went through fine.
I definitely mentioned this trip at some point! I am sure of it.
The good news about the new robot economy is that only the numbers matter on a check anymore.
So fine, she says she's putting a new check in the mail yesterday. Lo and behold, I get it today...and she didn't sign it. I AM NOT EVEN KIDDING.
Just deposit it. I bet it goes through no problem.

I was going to just go to an ATM, and I figured it would probably go through. (I haven't changed my last name legally yet, but the AMA makes checks out to my married name -- at my request [in my defense, I didn't mean to be a slacker] -- and so the teller won't deposit checks made out to my married name, but the ATM doesn't give a shit, so I deposit them there.) I think that signatures -- or the absence thereof -- don't really matter in the 21st century. The automatic processor just looks for the routing number, etc., and processes it.
I HOPE.

Not where you were going. You are all about mysterious travel to unknown destinations lately!
Still no internet or phone at home. I don't know how you dealt with it, Consuela. Other than by being a better person than me. Goddamnit, I have a constitutional right to have my couch and my internet in the same room!
