The status is NOT quo.

"I left a dalmatian in the yard, is it yours?"
This may be my favorite note of all time.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

mac's English teacher responded to my email to her from over 2 WEEKS AGO and closed with "Please let me know what I can do to help him get to a passing grade."

In the email I sent her I asked some specific questions:

Did he not do his personal narrative re-write? I see it is marked as a Z.

Is tutoring a time where he can ask questions about anything he is having trouble with, or is it extra time without instruction to get work done?

What are some items I could be working with him at home on?

She did not address any of these and with 3 days left n the 6 weeks sends an email of concern. I am livid with her and do not see how he can get a passing grade at this point.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh dear, msbelle. That does not sound actually helpful.

I am trying to give her the benefit of the doubt and do the same for mac, but 2 weeks to respond to my email does not sit right with me.

Then from her class webpage, which is supposed to be my source for getting information

"** To get the weekly lesson plan, please go to Document Manager and find the corresponding week. "

so I go to Document Manager

"Attachments:

April_7-11.pdf March_17-21.pdf"

NOTHING FOR THIS WEEK!!!

And under last week, this is what it has for his class:

"Monday April 7  Library- Read The Outsiders  Tuesday, April 8  The Outsiders  Wednesday, April 9  The Outsiders  Thursday, April 10  The Outsiders  Friday, April 11  Conference Reading Day "

Does that look like there is any paperwork due? How would I know?

I can't get to sleep I am so upset.

We meet with CJ's doc tomorrow to talk more about his ADHD. Hopefully we will get what documentation we need to take to his school. I have sent an e-mail to his adviser asking for a meeting. Please let that happen soon. He is already looking at 2 summer school classes and need help with two other classes. Not sure what his options are at this point.

My taxes are done and paid. Boo. But in double checking my numbers I did find a typo that cut the amount I owe in half, taking it from, I can't fucking pay that to well, shit, there goes my savings.

Good luck, parents. With those specific education related troubles and just, you know, generally.

I got actually hungry and thought about trying solid food, but decided to compromise and just have whipped cream on my Jell-o. Yum. Maybe I'll eat something in the morning.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I had major blood sugar crash yesterday, so today I was much more cautious about food. Still sleepy on the way home from work, but I got to the gym and had a really good climbing session, so that was good.

More jury duty tomorrow. This is rapidly exceeding my tolerance for boredom.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

not your mom's socks.

Good luck, parents!

Msbelle, that's really maddening. Two weeks on an email seems too long to me too.

I've woken myself up before by grinding my teeth so hard they ache. This morning, I'm hoping that's what I've done. Ow.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ugh, msbelle, that does sound infuriating. BUT I am excited for mac to be reading The Outsiders.

I rescued a dog today and put him back in what I thought was his yard on the right side of the gate, only to then realize, "Wait it might not be his yard" (there was already a dog there). So I left a note saying, "I left a dalmatian in the yard, is it yours?" Luckily it was.

Ha! I am reminded of the time a neighbor kid basically threw a big orange kitty in my door when I opened it. Nice thought, except it wasn't my cat.
