It's definitely worth the investment, I think. I am just not sure that *we* have enough money to make it livable, short term. Banks don't loan a lot for renovation loans if you don't already have equity.

I like the house, but possibly my notions of livability are skewed, since from 1985 - 1992 we had no kitchen sink drain, and dumped our dishwater in the yard, had no cold water in the bathroom sink, and had to turn the hot water in the tub on in the basement each time we needed to shower/bathe.
I keep getting annoyed that we have a HIPAA mascot at work and it is a zebra! Wouldn't you make your HIPAA mascot a Hippo!?!

I like the funky stonework. I bet there's a story behind it. Snellville, east of Atlanta, was founded by the Snells, who were stonemasons who quarried Stone Mountain. The buildings they built are all this very distinctive crazy-quilt of every shape of stone.
